Who were the Canaanites and where are they today?

The Canaanites are back! ... or, did they ever leave us?

If you don't know anything about ancient or current world history don't worry, you're not alone!   While many of us may have taken history classes in high school or as part of a religious upbringing, we tend to forget most of the lessons learned about our past.

The history of the Canaanite people may not sound very interesting at first. However, when we consider some very high profile people have been talking about it lately, I thought it would be worthwhile to review the history of these ancient people and why knowing what happened to them matters and is important for us to understand today!

Customs and Traditions

To many of us, our family and our origins are very important to us.  The members of each and every one of our families, be it large or small have all shaped who we are as people.  The familiar customs and family traditions we grew up with may have originated in recent years or can go back several generations.

family traditions2

Christmas, Easter, the yearly family vacation, summer BBQ's, honoring a family member's rite of passage (sweet 16, graduation, silver anniversary, etc...), memorial of their passing, these and many more "rituals" that we remember and celebrate usually once a year are customs that get passed down from one generation to the next.  Countries as well have their rituals, such as celebrating the day of their founding or independence, remembering an outstanding citizen or commemorating some other event that has a special meaning to the population.

A family, whether it is a home with 8 people or a nation with 80,000,000 people, customs and traditions are what defines them, what makes them unique from other people or nations.  A nation is made up of people who may not all be related by blood, but are related in the common ways of life and the customs that are practiced within its borders.

Now that we understand how important customs and rituals are to families and nations, we can see how this relates to us through our understanding of who the Canaanites were.

Who were the Canaanites?

These people lived long ago in the Middle East during the Bronze Age, roughly 5,000 years ago roughly 3300 BC.

canaan2

We first read about them in the Book of Genesis when Abraham (the patriarch of the Jews and Arabs) was traveling through from Mesopotamia, instructed by God to settle in that land;

Gen 12:6  And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Morah. And the Canaanite (was) then in the land.

Abram was about 75 years old at this time.  Biblical scholars believe this took place around 2086BC.  When he arrived in Canaan, the land was already populated with people.  We don't know for how long, but there was certainly enough of them to form a small nation of sorts, complete with their own customs which were no doubt very strange and different from what Abram knew;

Gen 17:8  And I will give unto thee, and to the seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession, and I will be their God.

Here we read that the land of Canaan was given to Abram and to all his future generations, for ever, with the Elohim as their caretakers, or as I like to put it, their loving parents (keeping things in a family/cultural context)!

The Palestinians

On numerous occasions, the leader of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas has stated that his people inhabited the land of Canaan thousands of years before the future Israelites would set foot on that land.

Here is a recent statement he made at the OIC Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey December 13, 2017.

abbas1

If we pay attention to what he says in the short clip, he is using the authority of the Torah (Hebrew Bible) to validate his claims.  This is wonderful news! We have the leaders of both the Palestinians and the Israelis agree on the truth and authority of the Bible!

In our previous article, The Truth About the Israel/Palestine Conflict, we revealed who the original inhabitants of the land of Canaan were.  They were a hybrid race of humans that had their origins before the days of Noah's flood when the Sons of God (Nephilim) or fallen angels (what we would call aliens or extraterrestrials today) mated with human females and produced a hybrid race that was not compatible with the human race that the Gods created starting with Adam and Eve.  Noah and his family were saved because their genetic heritage was not damaged by interbreeding with the aliens.

The fallen angels had genetically modified the human genome, including animals and plants as a means to totally corrupt, enslave and eventually destroy the entire planet.  The Gods isolated Noah and his family's gene pool in the ark (along with animals that were genetically "pure"), destroyed the earth around them with a flood, and once the waters receded instructed Noah to repopulate the planet.  Sometime between here and Abram's first steps into the land of Canaan, some of the Nephilim DNA had managed to escape the flood and slowly reintroduce themselves into the population (more on how this could have happened a little further on in this article)!

The Canaanite Culture

While we know much about the Jewish culture, what do we know about the ancient Canaanite culture?  Well, we can easily find out by once again turning to the Bible!  When Moses led the Children of Israel out of bondage from the Egyptians (where they were slaves for 400 years),  God gave very clear and strict rules and guidelines to protect them from the Nephilim threat that still existed in the land of Canaan;

Gen 15:13 And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

Exo 23:20  Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Exo 23:21  Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
Exo 23:22  But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
Exo 23:23  For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
Exo 23:24  Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.
Exo 23:25  And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Just prior to these verses, and to provide the context for this article we read;

Exo 20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,
Exo 20:2 I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them : for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

You might recognize these verses as part of the Ten Commandments.

Now pay close attention to what is being said in the verses above, and let's put this in the right context.

God had just led the Israelites (the future Nation of Israel) out of 400 years of slavery.  Every man, woman, and child were forced into a life of unpleasant servitude until the day they died.  This was an experience that was unfamiliar to the Israelites because their forefathers never exposed them to treat other humans in such a degrading manner.  Enslaving a population and subjecting them to live in degrading conditions and forced labor was not part of the Israelites culture.  Those traits were not common to Abraham's seed, or there was little if any traces of this in his epigenetic history.

When God sent the flood to destroy the "corrupted" people on earth back in Noah's day, it was to wipe out the human population with that bad gene pool.  The aliens had contaminated the human gene pool when they descended to earth and interbred with women. However, there was also another source that was responsible for corrupting the human gene pool, and it didn't come from fallen angels!

Cain, Father of the Canaanites

The first mention of Cain is in Genesis chapter 4.  Here are some of the highlights;

Gen 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD
Gen 4:2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
Gen 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
Gen 4:9 And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
Gen 4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
Gen 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.
Gen 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

In these verses, we read that Cain committed the first murder when he killed his brother out of jealousy in verse 8. Then to protect his dignity, he lied about his knowledge of the murder in verse 9. As a result, God allowed a genetic marker to remain within Cain's biological makeup which would be passed down to all his future generations, verses 14&15.

Although this may not sound like much, for where humanity is concerned it had a major impact.  Anyone who studies psychology or who works om the field of criminology such as law enforcement know that people who are more prone to commit criminal acts have a very different brain physiology and genetics than the average person.

What these mainstream articles reveal from a scientific perspective is that people who harbor malice, anger, jealousy, and hate for extended periods of time and who are unable to resolve their personal issues without resorting to violence end up causing physical changes in their body chemistry that drastically lowers the quality of their life.  This in turn directly affects not only the people in their surroundings but creates a GENETIC IMPRINT that is passed on to successive generations via their children, and children's children. This is the ROOT CAUSE of all mental illness and its physical manifestations in everyone alive today!  Some have it worse than others, but every single one of us carries these hereditary genes, passed on from Cain's lack of self-control and his obsession to always be right and have the last word. No one is immune. This is what is meant by the term, we are all sinners!

Romans 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man (Adam)  sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

In Cain's case, he felt pride and anger after God refused his gift (offering), despite having been explained why it wasn't accepted and what he must do to make it right the next time.
Cain felt he didn't need God and could do things his own way.  Unfortunately, this attitude is very common amongst many people today.  This, in essence, is what we call secularism; a society governed by the rule of law and the advancement of science and technology to improve the human condition, no god required!  Most people allow their personal and often misplaced feelings to get hurt then and rather than reason things out. They resort to anger which prevents them from any kind of rational thinking.  Animalistic behavior then takes over and a person lowers their humanity and behaves in a way that is harmful to themselves and others.

We see this clearly when one of Cain's descendants murdered someone, a crime of passion!

Gen 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
Gen 4:18 And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech.
Gen 4:23
 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.
Gen 4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

Here we see Cain's great-great-great grandson commit the second murder in the Bible. The deadly mutations in Cain's gene pool survived over 3 generations!

This created a problem. With Abel dead, that left the world with a heavily corrupted gene pool, bent on pride, jealousy, and murder. Eventually, God would have to wipe out the population as he did later on in Genesis 6.  But something happened that would delay this eventual outcome from happening;

Gen 4:25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
Gen 4:26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

When Seth was born, Adam and Eve introduced a genetic line that seemed to have a higher resistance to the viral strain passed on to them when they disobeyed God, fell for Lucifer's trap and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This branch produced offspring that were healthier, mentally stable and desired to have a harmonious relationship with their Creator living by faith, and not by sight (depending on their own wits to get by in life, but rather putting all of their trust in God for all their daily provisions)! When we look at the generations from Seth onward we see that his great-grandchildren had longer lifespans, produced a balanced ratio of men to women (sons and daughters), and we have the only person known that was able to be escorted to Heaven alive, where he still remains to this day!

Gen 5:22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
Gen 5:23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years:
Gen 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Eventually, Noah was found to be genetically pure, compared to the Cainite population that coexisted with him in his day.  Even though several of the generations before him were exposed to the Cainite epigenetic influence, Noah was clean as a whistle, and that's what saved him and his family from extinction during the Great Flood!

Gen 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Gen 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generationsand Noah walked with God.
Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth
Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth
Gen 7:13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;
Gen 7:23  And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
Gen 9:12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:

After the flood waters receded, God commanded Noah and his family to repopulate the earth, for the third time!;

Gen 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.

So if Noah's gene pool was free from defect, how then did the Cainite corrupted gene pool survive if they were all wiped out in the flood?  The answer can be found in the following verses;

Gen 9:18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan.
Gen 9:22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
Gen 9:24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
Gen 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
Gen 9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
Gen 9:27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.

We see here that out of the 3 sons that Noah had, there was a problem with Canaan his grandson from Ham.  Canaan it seems was a problem child.  Since Noah's genes were perfect, that meant his 3 sons did not have the genetic defect.  This leaves the defect with one of their wives, namely Ham's wife. Although it is not directly stated in the Bible, the process of elimination would leave no other choice.  Noah blessed his other two sons and left no blessing for Ham.  Furthermore, although Ham did not commit the infraction directly, perhaps his lack of standing up to his wife, who was most likely mostly Cainite in her genetic makeup and personality.  Perhaps he tried to convert her prior to the flood, and she was showing some promise, but somewhere along the way both Ham and his wife failed in their parental duties to uphold a high moral standard.

Later on, in Ham's future generations we see that from Ham's lineage came the Canaanites that the Palestinian Authority claim they originated from;

Gen 10:1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
Gen 10:6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
Gen 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Gen 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Gen 10:11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
Gen 10:13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim,
Gen 10:14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim.
Gen 10:15 And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth,
Gen 10:16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite,
Gen 10:17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite
Gen 10:18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.
Gen 10:19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.
Gen 10:20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

There we have it!  That's how the corrupted seed survived the flood and "replenished" the earth according to their ancestral grandfather, Lucifer, also known as Satan and the Devil.  If we pay close attention to the verses above, we see that these are the same families, countries, and nations that God ordered the Israelites not to mingle with, and to totally eradicate from the lands they were to occupy, the Promised Land, Canaan or modern day Israel.

What we also see is that the lineage of Ham were the ones that would eventually enslave the Israelites in Egypt.  We know this because one of Canaan's sons Phut would be the father of the Egyptians as we can see from the map below!
gen10 map
What history tells us from ancient Egypt is that they worshipped many strange gods, had many occult practices including ritual child sacrifice.  They also formed the one of first world government system and empire.
egypt gods

The ones who preceded them were the Babylonians and Assyrians, who they too worshiped many strange gods and conducted occult practices that were not in keeping with what God wanted for humanity when he created Adam and Eve and spared Noah's family from the flood.

mesopotamian gods

From this study, it appears that once a person adopts personal relationship with a higher power, that "being", be it an angel as a messenger or a deity will become a living part of their lives!  They will be influenced in mind, body, and spirit by these beings.  Unfortunately sitting on both sides of the fence, or not sitting on either side of the fence is not an option.  Where humanity is concerned, it must have a spiritual connection of some sort with a higher power.  That's just the way our biology is made, right down to the DNA molecules that make up who we are today and tell of who our ancestors are. Not just in physical appearances, but in personality traits too.

Who and where are the Canaanites today?

Now that we showed you through this article how the Canaanites were and where they came from, you might be asking where they are today?

Well, since we can define a people or nation not only by the borders they live in, or from the bloodline they descended from, maybe the Palestinian Authority has to rethink its claim as the sole survivors of these ancient peoples.

abbas3

Perhaps we need to include anyone who has ever devoted their lives in some way to the ancient Canaanite belief system.  They say old habits die hard.  That being said, maybe we need to reexamine some of the customs and traditions that we keep today.  If we are to question why there is so much hate and war going on in the world, maybe we need to look back at our past, realize what the problem is and look for the solution.  For a Solution exists!  It's been here all along, and maybe we should be more open to accepting the Solution if we truly want to move forward in life and leave all our troubles behind.

The choice is simple.
You can either trust the Canaanite belief system as seen here: Breaking the bonds of genetic destiny.
Or, you can simply turn your Bible to John 3:16 and read the cure for yourself.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

The choice is yours.  More on this topic to come, stay tuned!
