Idolatry.
Idolatry is usually defined as worship of any cult image, idea, or object, as opposed to the worship of the one true God.
You might be saying right now, “I am not an idolater!”

What the Bible says about idolatry.
Exodus 20: 3-7
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
12 things not to worship.
1-Graven images of wood, stone, or metal.
2- Any likeness of male or female.
3- Any likeness of any beast.
4- Any likeness of fowls.
5- Any likeness of creeping things on the ground.
6- Any likeness of any creature in the ground itself.
7- Any likeness of fish in the waters.
8- Any likeness of any creature heaven above.
9- The sun.
10- The moon.
11- The stars.
12- The host of heaven, heavenly bodies.
Is that clear enough? The Bible is against all uses of images in worship.
Destiny of all who worship false gods.
1Cor. 6: 9-11
9 ¶ Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Gal. 5: 19-21
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Rev. 21:8
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev. 22-15
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
So you truly think you are not an idolater?
Definition of idolater.
1. One who worships idols.
2. One who blindly or excessively admires or adores another.
Can you honestly in your heart say you are not an idolater?
They do it (Idolize) in our churches today, as the Jews did when God freed them from the Egyptians.
An idol is a man-made object that is venerated in some way.
In Christianity, veneration (Latin veneratio, Greek δουλια dulia), or veneration of saints, is a special act of honoring a saint: a dead person who has been identified as singular in the traditions of the religion, and through them honoring God who made them and in whose image they are made. It is practiced by the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, and some members of the Anglican Communion. Veneration is often shown outwardly by respectfully bowing or making the sign of the cross before a saint's icon, relics, or statue. These items may also be kissed.
I have noted in my other notes that God has many names, and “Jealous” is one of them!
If you want to be accepted of God, then stop your idolatry!
