Lot Lingered!

Here is an example of how our Mighty God comes to a full stop!

Gen 19:16  And while he lingered, the men (The 2 angels)  laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city.

The Angels intervened but the last choice was Lot’s!

Gen 19:22  Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do any thing till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.

In the verse above we have 1 Lord on standby on Earth, and another Lord on standby in Heaven. Both waiting for Lot to get out of the destruction zone!

Gen 19:23  The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

Gen 19:24  Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Another point proving that there will be a Rapture before the destruction to come.

The purpose of mercy must precede that of judgment.

I for one have made up my mind, just waiting upon the Lord to give the word!

I will not linger!!!

Lot was not saved by works, but by God’s MERCY!
