3 Baptisms for Modern Believers
Paul taught that there were “baptisms” see verse below from the Book of Hebrews!
Heb 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms…
So what are these baptisms?
1) Baptism into Christ, and into His body, the Church which is essential to salvation
2) Baptism into water is essential to obedience and to a “Good conscience”
3) Baptism into the Holy Spirit is essential to receiving power for service
Paul himself was converted and baptized in the Spirit and healed before he was baptized in water.
I never meant to sway anyone from getting baptized in water, just simply wanted to point out that water baptism does not remit sins.
Baptismal regeneration limits the efficacy of the blood of Christ to the physical element of water!
Remission of sins by water baptism reverses the whole order of the Gospel, which is repentance and faith before water baptism.
BTW today’s Christian do not use John’s Baptism in water for his baptism in water was in the name of God.
Christians should make sure their water baptism is in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
