There are 5 “AGES” in the Bible.

There is also the Past Ages, what God did in the eternal past before Gen. 1:1 is not revealed, but we know that he drafted His plan in that time. Ps .90:2; Prov. 8:22

1)      The Antechaotic age Gen. 1:1 – Gen. 1:2

2)      The Antediluvian age Gen. 1:3 – Gen. 6-8

3)      The Present age Gen. 6-8 – Rev. 19:11-20:7

4)      The Age to come Gen. 19:11-21 – Rev. 21-22

5)      The Age of Ages Eternity, time without end.

There are 9 “DISPENSATIONS” in the Bible.

The first was the Dispensation of Angels Isa. 14:12-14; Ezek. 28:11-17; Col. 1:16-18

Then there are 7 dispensations with Man.

1)      Dispensation of innocence Gen. 1:26-3:24

2)      Dispensation of conscience Gen. 4:1-8:14

3)      Dispensation of human government Gen. 8:15-11:9

4)      Dispensation of promise Gen. 11:10- Ex. 12:51

5)      Dispensation of law Ex. 13:1- Matt. 4:1; 11:10-13; Lk. 16:16

6)      Dispensation of grace Matt. 4:1- Rev. 19:21

7)      Dispensation of Divine government Rev. 20:1-15

The last will be the Dispensation of the Redeemed and faithful Angels. Rev. 21:1-22:5; 1 Cor. 15:24-28

This is rightly dividing the Word of God.

2 Tim. 2:15    Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If we erred God is gracious enough to forgive us, it is but because of our pride that we sometimes hold on to non-scriptural doctrines. We are commanded to test all doctrine, to see if it comes from God or the Deceiver.

1. Thes. 5:21     Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
